    It is two days before Halloween and we are leaning into it. Come in costume if you want to, the team will be.

    A digital scanner maps your teeth in a few minutes. No trays of putty, no gagging, no waiting on a lab.

    Before you go home you see what your teeth will look like, roughly how long it takes and exactly what it costs.

    What happens once you are scanned

    Your plan goes to an orthodontist

    A licensed orthodontist reviews your scan and signs off on the movement plan before a single aligner is manufactured. Dr. Hardin walks you through it.

    Your aligners arrive

    The full set is made for your mouth and shipped to the office. We fit the first tray with you and show you the routine.

    About 3 to 4 weeks

    You wear them, we check in

    Trays come out to eat and to brush, and go back in for the rest of the day. You come by for short check-ins so nothing drifts off plan.

    CandidPro treats most of the cases that used to mean metal brackets. The scan on October 29 is what confirms it for your mouth.

    He earned his DDS at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry and now runs his own practice on Coit Road, where he was recently nominated as a top 10% dentist in the country. He is the one who scans you on October 29 and the one who follows your case to the end.

    Before you call

    Questions about Clear Aligner Day

    What if I cannot make October 29?
    The $4,775 price is tied to that day, because the whole day is blocked off for scans. Call us anyway. If the day fills up or the date does not work, we will tell you what your options are without the pressure.
    How many slots are there?
    A limited number, set by how many scans fit into one day. They are taken in the order people call, so earlier is better.
    What happens at the appointment?
    A 3D scan of your teeth, photos, a look at your bite and a conversation about what you want changed. You leave with a plan and a price. It takes under an hour.
    Does it hurt?
    The scan does not hurt at all. The aligners feel tight for a day or so each time you switch trays, which is the feeling of the teeth actually moving. Most people describe it as pressure rather than pain.
    Can I eat normally?
    Yes. The trays come out when you eat and when you brush, then go back in. That is the main difference from braces, and the main thing you have to be disciplined about.
    Will my insurance help?
    Not on this price, which is a flat cash fee for the day. If you have orthodontic benefits and would rather use them, call us and we will run the numbers with you both ways.
    Do I have to decide on the day?
    No. The scan and the plan are yours. Most people take the plan home and call back, and the price still stands for treatment reserved on October 29.
