Affordability in dentistry is not one thing. What works for a family of four on an employer PPO looks nothing like what works for a self employed adult with no coverage facing a cracked molar. The good news is that quality dental care stays within reach in either case once you know which options fit your circumstances.

We have been a privately owned family dentist in Plano since 2011, and Dr. Jordan Hardin treats every patient personally, which means the person quoting your treatment is the person performing it. This page sorts the options by the situation you are actually in rather than by procedure.

What Affordable Really Means at a Dental Office

Low prices and affordable care are not the same thing, and confusing them is how patients end up paying more.A quoted price that covers only the first visit of a three visit plan, or the opening trays of a clear aligners course, is not a low price. It is an incomplete one.  The number that matters is what the finished treatment costs you after insurance, after any discount, and after every appointment the plan requires.

The second half of affordability is predictability. Care you can budget for beats care that is occasionally cheap and occasionally shocking. We give patients the full cost of a treatment plan before work begins and file insurance claims on their behalf, so the amount you are told is the amount you plan around. Our team includes Spanish speaking staff, so patients who would rather discuss money in Spanish can do that directly instead of through a third party.

If You Have Dental Insurance Through Work

Employer sponsored coverage is usually the best value available, because your employer carries most of the premium. We accept most PPO and DPO plans, and we submit the claims ourselves rather than handing you a form and wishing you luck. The practical question is not whether we take your plan but how much of your annual benefit you are leaving unused.

Most dental policies reset every year and do not roll anything over. Patients who use their two covered cleanings and exams are getting real value from a benefit they already paid for, and those visits are what keep small problems from turning into the kind of work that eats an annual maximum in one appointment. If you have significant treatment planned and are close to your cap, the timing across two benefit years is worth discussing at the consultation. Knowing how dental insurance options actually work in Texas makes that conversation a lot shorter.

If You Have No Dental Insurance at All

Our in house membership plan was built for this situation. You pay us a flat monthly fee per person and receive two exams, two professional cleanings, and two sets of X rays each year, along with fifteen percent off all other dental services, products excluded. There is no waiting period, no deductible, no annual maximum, and no claims process, because we are not an insurance company.

The waiting period is the piece worth weighing carefully. An individual insurance policy bought this month will usually make you wait six to twelve months before contributing toward a crown, a root canal, or an implant. Our plan applies from your first appointment. For an uninsured adult who needs preventive care now and may need restorative work soon, that difference is often worth more than the policy would have paid.

If You are Covering a Whole Family

Families lose money in a place most people do not think about, which is running two dental relationships at once. A pediatric office for the children and a separate practice for the adults means two sets of records, two scheduling systems, and two trips. We see patients of every age, from a child’s first visit through adult restorative care, so one appointment block can handle the household.

Our membership plan is priced per person, so each family member gets their own preventive coverage and their own fifteen percent discount rather than sharing a pool that runs out. Parents comparing that against paying visit by visit can look at the teeth cleaning cost without a plan first.  Parents who have been through a year of surprise dental bills usually find the predictability is worth as much as the discount. Children who see the same dentist every year also build a history, and Dr. Hardin knows which molars he sealed and when.

If You Need Major Treatment and Cannot Pay at Once

Implants, veneers, clear aligners, and full mouth reconstruction are the treatments where patients most often walk away, and financing is what keeps that from happening. Our insurance and financing options include CareCredit, Cherry, and Lending Club for third party financing, alongside in house payment plans with no interest across several term lengths for patients who would rather not open a new credit line. Both routes turn a single intimidating figure into a monthly one.

Larger cases can also be phased. Full mouth reconstruction is a sequence of procedures, not one event, and the sequence can be ordered so that what is urgent gets treated now while the rest is scheduled around what you can manage. Dr. Hardin plans implant cases with CT and cone beam imaging before any surgery begins, which means the surgical plan is settled in advance rather than adjusted mid treatment. Accurate planning is its own form of cost control.

Why One Dentist Keeps Your Costs Predictable

Practices that rotate associate doctors create a specific financial problem for patients. A treatment plan set by one dentist gets reviewed by another at the next visit, opinions differ, and the plan changes. Each revision has a price attached. Dr. Hardin owns this practice and is the only dentist treating patients here, so the plan you agreed to is the plan that gets carried out.

Staying in one office also removes the referral chain. Practices that send implants to an oral surgeon and root canals to an endodontist are adding providers, each with their own fees and their own scheduling. Dr. Hardin completed a post doctoral fellowship in surgical implant placement through Implant Pathway’s Dental Implant Continuum, and he performs implant surgery, root canal therapy, extractions, and restorative work in our own office. One practice, one fee schedule, one doctor who knows your history.

Affordable care is available in Plano whatever your coverage looks like, and the first step costs you nothing but an hour. Schedule your first visit with us and we will tell you exactly where you stand before you commit to anything.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Implants

How do I know which option is right for me?

It depends on your coverage, your household and the treatment you need. At your first visit, we’ll look at what your insurance covers, what it doesn’t and how the membership plan or a payment plan would compare. You’ll get the numbers in writing, so you can choose the option that costs you the least overall.

Can I combine financing with my insurance or membership discount?

Yes. Your insurance benefits or the fifteen percent member discount are applied first, and we file the insurance claim for you. Financing or an in house payment plan then covers whatever balance is left. That way, you’re only spreading out the part you actually owe.

What if I need urgent care and I’m worried about the cost?

Call us right away instead of waiting. We offer same day emergency care, and we’ll talk through what the visit involves, what your insurance is likely to cover and which payment options are available before anything is scheduled. Treating the problem early is usually the less expensive route.

What happened on my first visit?

Dr. Jordan Hardin examines you himself and explains what he finds in plain terms. You’ll get a full written treatment plan with the total cost after insurance or discounts, along with your payment options. Spanish speaking staff are available if you’d rather talk through costs in Spanish, and nothing is scheduled until you’re ready.

Whether you’re insured, uninsured, covering a family or planning major treatment, there’s a way to make quality care affordable. At WestPark Village Dental Care, you’ll see the same dentist every visit and know your full cost before any work begins. Call (972) 964-8989 to know exactly where you stand before you commit to anything.
